Overview
EnKoat develops thermal and weather barrier coatings for building envelopes, led by its flagship IntelliKoat™ system. Founded in 2018 out of materials science research at Arizona State University, the company pairs a patented ActivTherm™ basecoat with a DuraFlect™ topcoat to protect roofs against extreme heat, UV, wind and rain. IntelliKoat™ has been tested at the U.S. Department of Energy's National Renewable Energy Laboratory and is applied over existing roof systems to extend service life without full replacement.
EnKoat IntelliKoat™ is layer one of Roof Down EOS™, reducing thermal load at the source before any mechanical measure is added. We pair the EnKoat roof layer with circuit-level measurement and verification, demand control ventilation and compressor optimization, so building owners can see what the roof contributes in their own energy data.
