Overview
Cryo X Co is a deep-tech materials company headquartered in Tempe, Arizona, founded in 2021 by CEO Jordan Fourcher, who developed the technology as a student at Arizona State University. Its flagship product, CryoPaint, is a water-based, low-VOC passive daytime radiative cooling paint that reflects sunlight and radiates heat through the atmospheric window, cooling surfaces below ambient air temperature with no electricity and no moving parts. CryoPaint is formulated for 94% solar reflectivity and 90% emissivity in the 8–13 µm band, and received a 2026 Popular Science Home of the Future Award.
IQ Edison brings CryoPaint into the Energy Optimization Ecosystem as a passive cooling layer for rooftop HVAC housings, building envelopes, outdoor enclosures and other sun-exposed assets. We pair CryoX's radiative cooling technology with the measurement and verification of Roof Down EOS™, so owners can see the energy savings in their utility data.
